is a Kontakt-powered virtual instrument that captures the sound of two iconic instruments: a 1930s-era Martin 0-17 mahogany-bodied parlor guitar and a custom-built 12-string dreadnought Native Instruments.

The first is a small-bodied mahogany 6-string Martin 0-17, built in 1934. Unlike the larger, brighter Martin D-28 used in the original Strummed Acoustic , this smaller-bodied guitar offers a warmer, more mellow, and intimate tone. Its aged wood gives it a rounded, soulful sound that becomes wonderfully expressive and aggressive when played with force, making it exceptionally versatile. This guitar is perfect for singer-songwriter tracks, folk ballads, and any situation requiring a rich, character-filled voice. Workflow: How to Use Strummed Acoustic 2 in

Strummed Acoustic 2 comes loaded with over 160 patterns covering a massive variety of genres, including rock, country, bluegrass, Latin, and pop. However, many users feel that the instrument reaches its full potential when they start layering their own custom voicings and using the built-in Song Browser to chain patterns together. The library is designed with dynamic articulations and accents built into each pattern, ensuring that even simple sequences avoid the dreaded "machine-gun" effect often found in lesser libraries.

Adjustments for fret noise volume, release samples, and swing allow users to loosen the timing for a more organic, human feel. Ideal Use Cases

The final choices reflect a dedication to old-school, high-quality audio. The Martin 0-17 was captured through a vintage Gefell UM70 large-diaphragm condenser and a Schoeps cm 060, while the Guild F-412 was recorded using Schoeps 211b small-diaphragm condensers and an AEA R84 ribbon mic. This level of detail ensures every note, chord transition, and piece of fret noise is authentic.
