In Prison Break season 3, Fernando Sucre and others are imprisoned in the Panamanian prison Sona. Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell, James Whistler, and Alexander Mahone are also involved in escape plots; Bellick (Brad Bellick) is imprisoned in Sona earlier in the season after being captured. The major prison break from Sona was a complicated affair. During the chaos of the actual escape, Bellick was not part of the primary group that followed Michael. Instead, he was one of the pawns used to create a distraction. While Michael, Whistler, Mahone, and McGrady made their escape, Bellick, along with T-Bag and Lechero, were sent in a different direction and were quickly caught by the guards, serving as a diversion.
